Have you lost followers on Instagram?
The first reason why people unfollow you is because not everyone has good taste :-)
No, but seriously, most of the reasons you lose followers are impersonal and have nothing to do with you.
There are bot accounts, like inactive/ghost accounts, which are deactivated by Instagram every day.
There are people who follow you so that you will follow them back, and then they unfollow you.
There are people who have already taken everything you give them for free and are not interested in buying from you.
If you're like me, and sometimes post uncomfortable truths, there will also be people who get offended and unfollow you.
I know many IG Gurus will tell you that the reason you're losing followers is because you don't post every day, because your content isn't "valuable," because you don't make many Reels, but this is only half the truth.
People who give these generic and repetitive tips simply don't understand how consumer behavior works.
The reality is that your followers' interests will change over time. It's not a bad thing if they unfollow you, because at the end of the day, you're not creating content for people who aren't going to become customers.
